Gigi Khonyongwa-Fernandez

Gigi is a passionate change agent committed to helping individuals, leaders and organizations become intentionally present and move from where they are now to where they want to be with clarity, direction, joy and purpose. She is an International Coach Federation (ICF) Credentialed Professional Performance Coach and Founder of Families Blossoming, a company she started 10+ years ago, due to her passion about providing transformative Professional Coaching and other related services initially to the NICU parent community but this has expanded to include a wide range of clientele. Her clients include individuals and professional teams to medium to large-size organizations across the healthcare, education, religious and corporate sectors. Her repertoire of expertise includes an emphasis on leadership, diversity and empowerment wellness as well as strategy development.

Gigi focuses on leadership, diversity and empowerment wellness and coaches individuals and senior executives to become unstuck on a range of personal and professional areas, including but not limited to, leadership, confidence-building, communication, presence, empowerment and career progression. She also helps teams and organizations make meaningful, transformative and sustainable cultural change and is especially passionate about women leaders being empowered to find and use their voices.

Gigi is an experienced speaker, presenter and facilitator having presented at conferences and seminars, and led several workshops and trainings internationally. She is a free spirit, having lived and worked across several states in her home country of the USA and internationally as well as traveled to 20 countries (and counting). Through her travels, Gigi celebrates, learns and applies lessons from the beauty, strength and diversity of the human spirit she has encountered along the way with her clients.

Gigi has almost 20 years as an experienced former healthcare professional holding a BSc (honors) in Occupational Therapy (USA), specializing in neurology, and has held senior clinical and strategic management roles both in the US and UK. She also holds a MSc in Health, Population and Society from The London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) and a Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching (Distinction) from The Coaching Academy (UK). She serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the NICU Parent Network (NPN) (formerly the Preemie Parent Alliance (PPA), in the USA and on the Parent Advisory Board of the European Foundation for the Care of Newborn Infants (EFCNI) in Germany. Gigi was recently appointed to the 1st Chair Committee of the Global Alliance for Newborn Care (GLANCE).). She is a member of The International Coach Federation (ICF), the National Alliance for Patient Access, International Coach Federation (ICF) and the ICF UK Charter Chapter.
