Jas is a Principal Psychologist at Pearn Kandola, working across assessment, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion. He designs and delivers high-impact development centres, inclusive leadership programmes, psychometric assessments, and D&I audits for clients in the private, public, and academic sectors.
He holds degrees in Natural Sciences (Durham) and Southeast Asian Studies (National University of Singapore), is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society, a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute, and certified by the BPS to use psychometric tests of ability and personality.
Jas has conducted inclusion audits and equality impact assessments using a mix of interviews, focus groups, data analysis, and document reviews. His work at Jaguar Land Rover and the European Central Bank identified cultural and structural barriers to inclusion, particularly around ethnicity. At Cinven, he led an intersectional analysis of performance evaluations, and at the University of Manchester, assessed how policy changes would impact minoritised and lower-income staff.
He has supported leadership development at senior levels through inclusive leadership workshops, executive coaching, and team diagnostics. Clients include Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, the Alan Turing Institute, Imperial College London, and the Greater London Authority. He has delivered global development centres, such as for King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, helping future leaders strengthen their decision-making, self-awareness, and influence.
Jas also brings deep experience in the legal sector, having worked with firms including Linklaters, Allen & Overy, Herbert Smith Freehills, Macfarlanes, Shoosmiths, and Gowling on both partner-readiness programmes and inclusive culture initiatives. His financial services and tech clients include Apposite Capital, NFU Mutual, Vitesco, and CellYoyant.
Alongside consultancy work, Jas is active in Pearn Kandola’s research team. His interests include ethical leadership, family businesses, and applying ethnographic methods to understand organisational culture. He also draws on his regional expertise to explore the evolving landscape of diversity and inclusion in Asia.
