Originally a careers adviser, Angela has worked across a range of talent development fields in the public and private sectors over the last 25 years. These include assessment, leadership development, career transitioning, coaching and mentoring, team-building, cultural change, and performance management. She has a particular interest in the role of coaching within the assessment process and how this approach enriches organisational diversity. Her research into coaching and gender equality won the CIPD Management Report prize and was subsequently published.
Angela’s recent projects in the public sector include a career transition project for the NHS; ‘Coaching & Mentoring Skills’ programmes for the British Army (accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management); graduate recruitment training at York University; management assessment for Devon County Council and a wide variety of assessment centres for OFSTED, the General Dental Council and HS2. Her private sector assignments include performance management interventions for Tesco; culture change workshops for Pitney Bowes; team development at Balfour Beatty as well as assignments with AXA, Nationwide, NFU and Total. Angela also coaches individual clients from a variety of backgrounds ranging from banking and accountancy to social care.
Following her first degree, Angela successfully completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance, and an MSc in Strategic Learning and Development (Distinction). She is a qualified ILM coach, mentor and trainer, holds Certificates of Competence in Occupational Testing (Levels A and B) and is an SHL accredited assessor licensed to use many different psychometric tools.
