Caroline is a Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland where she lectures on Human Resources Management and Leadership. She holds a doctorate in Organisational Behavior and Human Resources and an MA in Business Administration. Her previous post was at Grenoble Ecole de Management as an assistant professor and the Amsterdam Center for Career Research, VU University Amsterdam as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow.
Through her research Caroline helps organisations to find new ways to redesign work and to create inclusive cultures that promote wellbeing among their workforce. Her focus is on managerial leadership (e.g. supportive supervisor behavior) and organisational leadership (e.g. the implementation of practices, policies and flexible career models) for cultural change.
Her recent consultancy projects on work-life integration have included a long-term evaluation of a career intervention in a professional service firm, and the design of survey instruments for assessing self/ versus outer perceptions of leadership behavior, employee engagement, team outcomes and organizational climate perceptions.
Caroline is a member of the Academy of Management Association and the Work and Family Researchers network. She is an active speaker in management conferences such as the AOM, EURAM, EGOS, and the Work Family Researchers network.
