Civil Service Seminar: How to tackle bullying and harassment in the Civil Service

One Great George Street, Great George Street, London, UK
February 25, 2020 9:00 am

With reports of bullying and harassment rising across the Civil Service, it has never been more important to take meaningful action to reduce levels of inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.

In this seminar, we will take a look at why people demonstrate inappropriate behaviour at work, including both personality and contextual factors that lead to bullying and harassment. We will also explore the most effective tactics that can be used within departments to reduce harassment and bullying, such as the use of nudges, coaching and Champions.

Finally, the session will include a sample of Active Bystander techniques that can be used in training to encourage employees to tackle inappropriate behaviour they witness or experience personally.
