About Ceri Roderick

Ceri is a Business Psychologist and Emeritus Partner at Pearn Kandola who has been helping multinational organisations tackle ‘people’ challenges for over 25 years. An expert in the areas of leadership development, and leader behaviour, he currently spends much of his time helping senior international leaders to embrace inclusive leadership and to manage the thinking errors that slow the process of working with difference and diversity. He works internationally across all sectors – from Oil and Gas to Financial Services. In the last year he has facilitated workshops in Europe, Africa, North and South America as well as in the Middle and Far East.

Ceri’s driving interest is what makes individuals, teams and businesses ‘tick’. His coaching – and indeed all his work – focuses on the pragmatics of making people and businesses perform better. He has a reputation for assessment and development system design that has been developed through successful delivery of very challenging projects; projects where deep understanding of the individual and the organisational context were essential. Ceri’s passion is for the practical application of neuroscience to individual and organisational performance. One of his key themes is that as human beings we operate with a very limited understanding of the key piece of equipment that we use as business leaders – the human brain! Ceri’s diversity work includes the design and delivery of bespoke diversity and inclusion programmes, specialising in the areas of unconscious bias and inclusive leadership.

Ceri is a frequent commentator in the HR and broadsheet media, with recent contributions appearing in The Times, The Financial Times and The Guardian. A regular speaker to senior leadership audiences, his presentations cover the challenges of ethical leadership behaviour, working with difference and the biases and thinking errors that get in the way of us living out our good intentions in our leadership practice.

He is the author of You’re Hired! Assessment Centres, and a co-author of You’re Hired! Interview Answers, You’re Hired! Psychometric Tests and Learning Organizations in Practice.
