Jonathan is a Managing Psychologist and Head of Practice Development. Alongside his consultancy work, he is responsible for ensuring that our work continues to be underpinned by the latest evidence.
A Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Jonathan works across all areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. He has particular expertise in the intersection between Inclusion, wellbeing and performance.
Jonathan has led a number of our larger DEI programmes, on topics including Inclusive Leadership, Being an Active Bystander, Positive Action and Inclusive Assessment. He has worked across a range of sectors, including Government and Public Sector, Higher Education, Professional Services, Legal, Private Equity, Entertainment and Sports. His clients have included University of Cambridge, the UK Civil Service and England Rugby, each discussed in our case studies.
Prior to joining Pearn Kandola in 2016, Jonathan worked as a Business Psychologist at Arup, where he worked with organisations to deliver a range of organisational development initiatives, including organisational design, behavioural change, assessment and selection, change management and leadership development. Whilst there he gained first-hand experience of implementing long-term programmes, working with clients such as the BBC, Dubai Airports, Heathrow Airports, Transport for London, the Olympic Delivery Authority, the NHS and Sellafield.
Jonathan was an author on our edited book ‘Free to Soar: Race and Wellbeing in Organisations’, contributing to chapters on the topic of the social environment at work, how discrimination impacts performance and personal power.
He is currently completing his Professional Doctorate at Birkbeck, which is looking at the impact of Chronic Stereotype Threat in the workplace.
