In 2021, a recent report from Pearn Kandola, a leading business-psychology consultancy, disclosed that nearly two-thirds (61%) of Black employees encountered workplace racism. However, the ‘Racism at Work’ study also highlighted that more than half of the UK’s workforce perceives a lack of efforts in promoting racial equality at their workplaces.
This new report (2021) replicates a 2018 study, aiming to examine shifts in experiences and perceptions of racism within contemporary UK workplaces. Despite significant global events in the past four years, including the widespread racial equity movement ignited in 2020, it indicates that discussions and initiatives to advance racial equality in work environments have seen limited progress
