Unemployment rates highlight disparities faced by ethnic minorities

A significant study on ethnic minority employment highlights persistent racial disparities in access to positive socioeconomic outcomes.

In 2011, men from six of seven studied groups faced higher illness and unemployment rates compared to white men, an increase from five groups in 1971. Likewise, women from these six groups experienced elevated unemployment and illness rates than white women, consistent between 1971 to 2011.
