Binna Kandola: Monitoring the Evolution of Racism

“[RACISM] has been solved long ago.” These words were spoken by Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight in response to recent tragic shootings in the United States.

Voight suggests that the left and minority communities are trying to hold President Trump responsible for past actions, and he claims that the problem of racism in America was resolved by its founders.

However, this assertion is far from accurate. What we are witnessing is a clear manifestation of contemporary racism.

Racism has been compared to a mutating virus, taking on different forms as it adapts to changing circumstances. It is challenging to detect these mutations as they are deeply ingrained in our traditions, institutions, and even our unconscious lives.
