These soaring costs are impacting everyone, but certain sectors of the population are bearing a disproportionate burden, including low-income households and individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds.

The Runnymede Trust highlights the pressing need for action. The study reveals that Black and minority ethnic individuals are experiencing poverty at a rate 2.5x higher than their white counterparts. Addressing these challenges are falling short and these marginalized groups face increasingly heightened vulnerabilities
