Research Uncovers Lack of Reasonable Adjustments for 40% of Disabled Workers

A recent poll conducted by Pearn Kandola revealed that 40% disabled employees are not receiving the necessary reasonable adjustments from their employers.

The survey, encompassing 400 workers, indicated that 27% of individuals who had disclosed their disability to their employer reported not receiving the required adjustments. This figure rose to 59% among those who had not disclosed their disability. The report suggests that this reluctance to disclose could stem from organizations being insufficient in providing adjustments, creating an environment where individuals do not feel secure in sharing their disability status.
