Psychological safety: but for who?

Psychological safety has become a cornerstone concept in workplace dynamics, a vital ingredient for creativity, collaboration, and high performance. The question is often framed at the group level: Is this team psychologically safe? But this framing can obscure an important reality – that within a group that appears to enjoy psychological safety, there may be individuals or subgroups who feel excluded, unsupported, and unsafe.
