Attract and support neurodivergent talent

We’ve done the research. We know that recruitment is a key barrier for neurodivergent individuals accessing the workplace.

Our dedicated workshop – designed by business psychologists who specialise in neurodiversity and talent assessment – will empower your hiring managers to overcome these barriers and attract neurodivergent talent into your organisation.

Why your recruitment team needs neurodiversity inclusion training

An estimated 15-20% of the global population is neurodivergent.

There’s been a 787% rise in autism diagnoses between 1998 and 2018, and a 167% rise in ADHD diagnoses between 1997 and 2016.

Neurodivergent candidates form a sizeable percentage of the talent pool.

But they are often overlooked.

Extraordinary strengths, no longer overlooked.

Neurodivergent individuals bring a variety of strengths to the workplace. From creativity and “out of the box” thinking, to attention to detail and often remarkable pattern recognition, they frequently outstrip their neurotypical colleagues in certain areas.

Research has found that teams with greater diversity of thought are able to solve complex workplace problems up to three times faster than more homogenous teams. There is undoubtedly a clear business case for hiring a wide range of thinking styles. And yet, the recruitment process continues to be a major barrier to neurodivergent individuals.

Research published by Pearn Kandola in 2024 found that 48% of neurodivergent candidates have found recruitment processes to be biased against them.

Respondents cited poor preparation by employers, unfair hiring practices, unclear processes and outdated attitudes as areas where improvement was urgently needed.

Getting recruitment right for neurodivergent candidates

In response to both our Neurodiversity At Work (2024) research, and clients asking for help with attracting and retaining neurodiverse talent into their organisation, we developed a dedicated workshop to support hiring teams.

Neurodiversity inclusion training for Hiring Managers, Interviewers & Recruiters

Our workshop has been carefully developed by expert psychologists to upskill hiring managers and recruiters within organisations – so they feel confident about hiring neurodivergent talent in a fair, inclusive way.

Participants leave with a clear idea of the common strengths and challenge areas for neurodivergent candidates, along with specific guidance and approaches for maximising inclusion of neurodivergent candidates.

Proven results

Whilst raising awareness is important – organisations choose us because of our research-rooted, evidence-based approach, proven to trigger behaviour change.

If you’re looking to run an off-the-shelf programme in order to tick a box, then this session isn’t for you.

If you want to prove ROI and trigger behavioural change, then you’re in the right place.

Our mission is to make the workplace, and thus the world, fairer.

By working with organisations to raise awareness – and most importantly – take action to mitigate unneccessary blockers for neurodivergent candidates, we can help work towards a true meritocracy, where decisions are made based on evidence, not personal feeling.

Accredited psychologists

All of our workshops are designed and delivered by our team of experienced, qualified business psychologists.

Why does this matter? Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and human behaviour. In short, we know how people work.

We recognise that everyone has different motivators – and we use this information to target each individual’s personal strengths and weaknesses to trigger behavioural change.

With four decades of in-house research behind us, we offer a truly expert, evidence-based approach, one that delivers results.

Holistic approach

We’ve been consulting in leadership development, assessment and organisational culture since 1984.

Our services are rooted in our in-house research and over forty years’ expertise, eliminating assumptions and minimising bias.

As a firm of business psychologists, we see your organisation as a whole, across departments and seniority levels. We consider where you were, where you are now – and where you want to be.

Working across more than 90 countries globally, we understand that different cultures demand different approaches, and factor cultural intelligence into our services to ensure you can drive progress on a modern, global scale.
