He specialises in identifying leadership talent, developing potential through one-to-one coaching and designing innovative development tools. Stuart is also the project director for many of our global development and assessment projects. These include: our work in the identification and development of future leaders for legal and professional services clients; coaching directors and executives in the retail sector; and running executive management development centres for clients across Europe, the US and Asia. Stuart also has particular experience in the oil and gas, financial and retail sectors. Before joining Pearn Kandola, Stuart was a senior manager in the HR Strategy business group at Deloitte.
Stuart has twice won the British Psychological Society Practitioner of the Year award. Initially, for his client work in global leadership development and then for his client work in global assessment and selection. He is an editor for a business and forensic psychology journal (ADM) and regularly contributes articles and comments to national press titles including Business Week, The Guardian, Sunday Times, and The Telegraph.
Stuart also wrote and edited iLEAD Tools. This is a series of three books focusing on how to develop People, Task, and Thought Leadership skills. iLEAD Tools was voted by the Chartered Management Institute as the Leadership and Management Textbook of the year in 2016.
On a personal front, Stuart lives in Oxfordshire and enjoys balancing a busy job with his fantastic family. He is the vice-Chair of Governors at his daughter’s school and has a keen – though limited – interest in competing in triathlon events.
