Jas Kandola is an EDI Strategic Partner specialising in healthcare, with extensive experience working with senior leaders to embed inclusive practice within complex NHS and public sector organisations.
A central example of this is his leadership of a large-scale EDI capability programme at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This was a 10-month engagement working with the most senior 125 leaders across an organisation of over 15,000 staff, including Board members, Chief Officers, and senior leaders. The programme focused on strengthening leadership capability, accountability, and the embedding of EDI within organisational strategy, governance, and decision-making.
Alongside this, Jas has worked across healthcare and government settings to address inappropriate behaviours and strengthen inclusive leadership practice. This includes leading EDI work with Moorfields Eye Hospital, working across both clinical and non-clinical teams to address behaviours impacting staff experience, facilitating challenging conversations, and supporting leaders to take greater accountability for fostering respectful and inclusive working environments.
Jas has also worked with Directors and Deputy Directors within the Department of Health and Social Care, designing and delivering interventions aligned to organisational priorities around psychological safety, speaking up, and inclusive leadership. Through this work, he has enabled senior leaders to build confidence in challenging inappropriate behaviour and embedding inclusive practices within their teams.
His broader experience includes working with organisations such as the European Central Bank and Jaguar Land Rover, using data and insight to identify systemic barriers and inform targeted organisational change. Jas’s approach focuses on working in partnership with organisations over time, enabling leaders to move beyond awareness and embed EDI within leadership behaviours, governance, and everyday practice.
