At Pearn Kandola, James has directed major assessment and development projects. These include a review and redesign of the graduate recruitment processes for Sainsbury’s and the NHS and the design and delivery of Management Development Centers for Which (Europe’s largest consumer organisation). As part of that work, James coached members of the board both at the development events and in follow-up meetings. In addition, James has developed and delivered a number of diversity programmes covering diversity awareness and behavioral change for clients including the University of Liverpool, BDO Stoy Hayward and Royal Mail.
He has worked with an extensive range of public and private sector organisations including BP, BT, PwC, the Department for Work and Pensions, the Police Service of Northern Ireland, and the Department for Trade and Industry.
James is an active contributor in establishing best practice standards for Assessment. In the past five years he has presented a number of papers at the annual British Psychological Society, Division of Occupational Psychology Conferences on topics including creating situational judgment tests and graduate attraction and assessment.
Prior to joining Pearn Kandola, James worked at the City law firm Linklaters, where he developed technical training programmes and carried out performance based research.
